Indian Musician Made to the Finals of Global Music Awards 2018

Mithun Hariharan (39), NRI based in Netherlands, who hails from Palakkad, Kerala has been declared Bronze Medallist Winner for his debut song – The Awakening, World Music Category.

Established in 2011, the Global Music Awards is a well-known international music competition which celebrates independent musicians. Global Music Awards is widely recognized by industry insiders as giving legitimacy to highly talented artists. ‘Global Music Awards is recognized as music’s golden seal of approval. Artists from GRAMMY’s , EMMY’s , Golden Globe Awards submit their work to Global Music Awards without solicitation.

Based on South Indian Classical Style, Ethnic music of North East and drumbeats of Tribal belt, this song is inspired by the deep abundant nature and spiritual mornings. Mithun Hariharan co-founder of the musical band Madras Chorus, is a late bloomer, his passion for music was manifested at the age of 31. Since then he’s been trained by Ambica Gayatri (Vocals) and Richard Kuijper (Keyboard & Piano, meer-music).

He completed his Music Specialization from Berklee College, including Music production & Modern Music. In this journey, he accomplished several milestones including setting up a Project Studio, being one of the official sponsors for Shruthi Box (Shanker Tucker & Vidya Vox) and even scoring the background music for the soul-stirring experience “The Music of Silence”.
