Kerala a Role Model in Infant Mortality: Dr VP Goswami

NNF (National Neonatology Forum) national president Dr V P Goswami said Kerala is a role model for other states in infant mortality rate He was inaugurating Kerala Neocon-2019, silver jubilee meet of National Neonatology Forum Kerala chapter held at IMA house Kochi yesterday. Though Infant mortality rate in many states are higher, it could be reduced with better neonatal care, he added.

Dr M K C Nair, former NNF and IAP president and Kerala health university vice chancellor who achieved doctor of science degree (DSC) from Kerala university was honoured on the occasion. Souvenir of the event was released by Dr R Ramesh Kumar. Drs TV Ravi, AK Jayachandran, M K Santhosh, Raveendra Varma, VC Manoj, SS Kamath, Muhamed Ismail, Junaid Rahman, VF Johny, Rohin Abraham, and Rojo Joy spoke on the occasion.

Various workshops on newborn baby care were held at Ernakulam Medical Centre, Aster Medicity, Lourdes hospital, Lekshmi hospital and Amritha Medical College in connection with Kerala Neocon yesterday. Event will conclude today.
