National Conference in Indian Language Computing on March 15 and 16

KOCHI:
Department of Computer Applications, Cochin University of Science and Technology is organizing a two day National Conference on ‘Indian Language Computing (NCILC-2019)’ on 15 th &16 th March.

Dr. R Sasidharan, Vice Chancellor will inaugurate the conference at 10 am on 15 th March at the Seminar Hall of the Department. Dr. B Kannan, HOD will preside. Dr. K.N Madhusoodanan, Member of Syndicate and Registrar in charge and Dr. Sunil K. Narayanankutty, Dean, Faculty of Technology will speak. During the event, Dr. K V Pramod Endowment awards will be presented to Bhaskar Thakur (MCA First Rank) and Nileena Shaju (First Rank, M.Sc Computer Science).

Several eminent persons will present papers on different topics related to Indian Language computing during the programme. The conference aims at bringing together various people working in the areas of Indian Language computing like Machine Translation, Transliteration, Indian Language understanding, Character Recognition, Speech Recognition, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and similar areas.

Prof. Dr. Sutanu Chakraborti, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Dr. Gopakumar G, Assistant Professor, National Institute of Technology, Calicut and Technical Expert from Tata Consultancy Services, Kochi, will deliver talks during the programme.
