DUBAI:
Dubai court ordered a compensation of Rs four crore for Thrissur native who was injured in an accident.
Antony Kokkadan, son of Kunju Vareeth, Chengaloor, Thrissur, will receive the compensation. Antony, who was working as a sales representative in a trading company at Dubai met with an accident in 2015 at Umm Ul Quwain Highway.
Antony who was seriously injured was admitted to hospital. The relatives of Antony and the owner of company Varghese Antony approached Salam Pappinisseri, who was the legal representative of Ali Ibrahim Advocates.
Later, when Antony was continuing the treatment at Kerala, the petition was signed and moved the court through advocate Ali Ibrahim. The case was given for a compensation of 30 lakh Dirham.
As Antony was continuing the treatment at Kerala, a medical doctor was sent from UAE to Kerala to prepare the report and submit to the Court. The court ordered compensation of 22 lakh Dirham after examining the medical report.
