New Delhi: Popular Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi was given a chance by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to have his moment of glory in the Rajya Sabha today.
Gopi presented the report of a Standing Committee of which he is a member.
The Deputy Chairman of tha Rajya Sabha, P J Kurien, called another member Meghraj Jain to present the report. Jain replied that his co-member on the panel would submit the report.
RS members thumped desks to welcome him and Kurien wished him best of luck.
Suresh Gopi, a campaigner for BJP in the last elections, is a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha.
