India’s men’s hockey team gained its opportunity for a maiden appearance in the final of the 36th Hero Champions Trophy Hockey tournament against Australia after Great Britain held Belgium to 3-3 draw in a final round robin match.
The last time India won any honour in the tournament was in 1982 at Amsterdam. India had won a bronze medal then.
