“An analytical mindset, dedication, sincerity and a team work helps to overcome the complex situations at sea”, said Capt. Thomas W. Pinto, Chairman and Managing Director, Seven Islands Shipping Limited, Mumbai.

He was speaking at the passing out parade of the 14 th batch B.Tech and 6 th batch M.Tech Marine Engineering of Kunhali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering (KMSME), Cochin University of Science and Technology as the chief guest. “The marine engineering and shipping industry is undergoing huge changes on the near future because of digitalization and environmental issues. So we should able to understand the changes and incorporate all these aspects in CUSAT’s curriculum”, said Vice Chancellor Dr K N Madhusoodanan who presided over the function.

Sajan P T, Deputy General Manager Elegant Marine Services, Kochi, was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Dr P G Sankaran, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Dr. K A Simon, Director, Albert’s Maritime Institute, Kochi, Prof. M P John, Director, K M School of Marine Engineering spoke.
