Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited held its 2 nd Annual General Meeting on 11 th August 2016 at Manik Sabhagraha, IES, Bandra West, Mumbai.
To mark the occasion, Shantanu Khosla, Managing Director shared the Company’s objective to “Profitably grow faster than the market thereby creating superior value for all our stakeholders” and sought shareholders’ continued faith and support in taking the Company forward on achieving that objective.
Speaking on the occasion, Khosla also emphasized on the following five key focus areas of the Company: Brand Excellence: The Company embarked upon its brand campaign last quarter, garnering
improved voice share within the industry. The campaign has been well received and initial results are promising.
Portfolio Excellence: The Company is committed to consumer-centricity and is focused on consumer meaningful innovations in its core categories.
Go-to- market Excellence: The growth will be aided by efforts to make their products available to a higher number of consumers. A detailed program to increase reach in the market has been developed and is being rolled-out.
Operational Excellence: Improvement in Total Delivered Cost (TDC) will help the Company to invest in the market-facing initiatives and improve returns to its stakeholders.
Organization Excellence: The organizational structure is largely ready as desired, and the focus is on developing a high performing organization.
Following resolutions were considered in the AGM and the results will be announced later on:
1. To receive, consider and adopt the Audited Financial Statements of the Company for the financial year ended March 31, 2016 together with the Reports of Board of Directors and Auditors thereon.
2. To appoint the statutory auditors and to fix their remuneration.
3. Appointment of Shantanu Khosla as the Director of the Company.
4. Appointment of Shantanu Khosla as the Managing Director of the Company and approval of his remuneration.
5. Appointment of H. M. Nerurkar as an Independent Director.
6. Appointment of Sonia N. Das as a Director of the Company.
7. Ratification of the remuneration payable to M/s. Ashwin Solanki and Associates, appointed as Cost Auditors of the Company for the period October 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.
8. Payment of Commission to Non-executive Independent Directors of the Company.
