THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The state government has launched the tech internship portal IGNITE 3.0 with the dual objectives of providing an official platform for tech companies to post internship opportunities and for recent graduates to enter the tech workforce.
This initiative partners with IT companies in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram; Infopark, Kochi and Govt. Cyberpark, Kozhikode, besides firms registered with Kerala Startup Mission, Group of Technology Companies (GTech) and Calicut forum for IT (CAFIT), a non-profit organisation formed by the IT professionals of Calicut.
The internship programme will help candidates improve their ability to obtain employment. Graduates, who fall in the age group of 25, can register for free. The programme will run throughout the year.
Industry will facilitate those who could work and prove their skills through a longer period, before being offered long-term job positions.
IGNITE will be a matching platform for companies and candidates to find each other. Companies will register and post internship opportunities on the platform where candidates can also register and see opportunities to apply. Companies will select candidates through a selection process.
Launched by the Government of Kerala in 2022, IGNITE is a unified tech internship platform being implemented in collaboration with ICT Academy. It aims to ramp up the availability of talent in the IT and ITeS sector of Kerala.
Registration is open now for both employers and candidates. For more details and to register, visit: ignite.keralait.org / contact: 0471 2700811 / 12 / 13.
