Appunni Admits that he Knows Pulsar Suni

A S Sunil Kumar (Appunni), the manger of actor Dileep, who was arrested in connection with the Malayalam actress abduction and assault case, admitted to the police that he know Pulsar Suni, who was the prime accused in the case.
Appunni said that he know Pulsar Suni long back ago even while he (Suni) was the driver of film actor and MLA Mukesh. But he said that he was not aware that Suni had any connection with Dileep.
When Suni called Appunni from jail, Dileep was also close by. The conversation was passed on the Dileep. He said that he was not aware of any conspiracy.
Appunni said that Suni had called to his mobile number as they were know each other for a long time. He also said that he was not aware that if Dileep and Suni met eachother.
Appunni who was absconding from July 10, when Dileep was arrested, appeared before the investigating team when his bail plea was rejected by the court. After questioning him for six hours, police seized his mobile phone.
Appunni said that he was not directly involved in the abduction and assault case. Appunni will be asked to appear before the investigation team again.
Earlier, Singer cum anchor Rimi Tomy was questioned by the police. It is reported that Rimi Tomy is a close friend of Dileep and his wife Kavya Madhavan. She was under scanner after the attack on the actress.
Actress Kavya Madhavan, wife of arrested Malayalam actor Dileep was also questioned in connection with the abduction case. The questioning of Kavya Madhavan comes in the wake of allegations that prime accused Pulsar Suni had handed over the mobile phone, in which the crime was recorded, and a memory card to someone associated with the actor.
Dileep, who was arrested in connection with the case on July 10, has been charged under various sections of the IPC, including one for hatching a criminal conspiracy for abduction and assault of the actress in a moving car on February 17.
The remand of actor Dileep was extended till August 8 by the Angamaly court. The court said that there was prima facie evidence of the actors involvement in the case. The accused was a prominent actor and could influence the witnesses if left out on bail.
