ASAP Kerala and Malabar Cancer Centre Collaborate to Launch Cancer Care Skill Training Courses

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a groundbreaking initiative, ASAP Kerala, in partnership with the Malabar Cancer Centre, has introduced specialized skill training courses catering to the growing demand in the field of cancer care. The courses, aimed at addressing the shortage of skilled medical professionals, were officially launched by Dr. Usha Titus, CMD of ASAP Kerala.

The three major courses being offered are Chemotherapy Nursing, Molecular Techniques for Clinical Application, and Medical Secretary, all of which are set to commence at the Malabar Cancer Center later this month. Dr. Usha Titus emphasized the global opportunities these courses offer in the health sector, particularly in the field of nursing.

“With the increasing number of cancer patients, there is a growing need for skilled professionals in the field of treatment. These courses are designed to provide specialized skills and fill the existing gap,” stated Dr. Usha Titus. The courses will offer both theoretical and practical training at the Malabar Cancer Centre, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of cancer care.

To further enhance the learning experience, ASAP Kerala is offering an internship opportunity with a 6-month stipend for the Medical Secretary course. Upon successful completion of the training, certificates will be jointly issued by ASAP Kerala and Malabar Cancer Centre.

The initiative comes at a critical time when the demand for specialized skills in cancer care is on the rise. Interested individuals can find more details by contacting 9495999713 or visiting the official website: https://asapkerala.gov.in/.
