Aster Medcity and Peace Valley Join Hands to Support Differently-abled Children

Aster DM Foundation and Aster Medcity to cooperate with Early Intervention Centre for Development Disabilities of Peace Valley for identifying the differently-abled children at the early stage and make them self-sufficient.

The association will ensure the support of expert doctors and therapists from Aster Medcity and treatment facilities arranged by Aster Volunteers for the financially backward children. Aster Integrated Neuro Development Centre and Aster Sick Kids Foundation will also support the project.

Around 70 children below the age of six have undergone various therapies at the Kothamangalam Peace Valley Centre. The service of Developmental Paediatricians from Aster Medcity will be made available to find growth characteristics at the Centre for two days a month.

Aster Hospitals Kerala and Oman Regional Director Farhan Yasin said that children are the future promise of the society. Children are facing several challenges during their growth and it is our duty to bring them to the forefront of the society, he said.

This project is being implemented to uphold the principles of Aster Medcity to ensure that the children are not denied modern treatment, he added.

The MoU in this regard was signed by Farhan Yasin and Peace Valley chairman P M Aboobacker. Aster Medcity paediatric head Dr Jincy Unni, Dr Susan Mary Sacaria, Latheef Kasim, Peace Valley office-bearers K A Shameer and K H Hameed were present. More details can be had from phone no: 6235453206
