Aster’s Associate Solo Hitchhikes Across 9 Countries for Children with VSD and Cardiology Ailments

KOCHI:
Vaishak Seetharam Dattani, Head of Service Excellence at Aster Hospitals, Kerala, Aster Labs, and Pharmacies, India is embarking on an extraordinary journey, Shores to Pinnacle 3.0, a solo hitchhiking expedition spanning 8800 kilometers from Singapore to Sikkim. This remarkable journey in the ‘Heart 2 Heart’ travel series aims to raise awareness and funds for underprivileged children suffering from Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and other cardiology ailments. This is as part of the ‘Heart 2 Heart’ campaign by Aster DM Foundation to encourage people across GCC and India to get active for a healthier heart while simultaneously making a meaningful impact on the lives of underprivileged children.

The journey, which commences on September 27, 2023, and concludes on November 23, 2023, will cross through countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Northeastern India.

Throughout this expedition, Vaishak will engage with communities and organizations to secure permissions and achieve the ambitious target of enrolling 10 million Aster Volunteers, who in turn can dedicate their time and qualifications for the needful at times of uncertainty in supporting them re-building and crafting a promising future.

Vaishak Seetharam Dattani has a history of impactful solo expeditions like solo cycling and moto rides aimed at various humanitarian causes in tie ups with Marriott International, Rising Star Outreach of India, Gofundme.com, Government Cancer Hospital,Sri Lanka etc.

“Like hitchhiking through the open road, Ventricular Septal Defect teaches us that even in the gaps, there’s a journey of connection waiting to be explored. My aim is to ensure that anyone I meet during the journey will know, where to get support and financial assistance for a child suffering from VSD,” said Vaishak Seetharam Dattani-, Head of Service Excellence at Aster Hospitals, Kerala, Aster Labs, and Pharmacies, India, about his expedition.

This inspiring journey is a testament for coming together for a noble cause, highlighting the importance of awareness and support for children with cardiac ailments.
