KOCHI:
A six member team of government delegation from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) visited Cochin University of Science and Technology to explore areas of co-operation between Cusat and reputed Universities in Australia.
Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha, Pro- Vice Chancellor Dr. P. G. Sankaran and IRAA Director Dr. Saju K. K briefed the visitors about the various courses of the University. ACT Legislative Assembly Opposition leader Alistair Coe, Arthur Potter, President Liberal Party, Jacob Vadakkedathu, Former Liberal Party Candidate, Honey (Anna) Palathinkal, Chair- Women in Business, Australia India Business Council, Amardeep Singh, Former President of Federation of Indian Associations participated in discussions.
“Collaboration between various reputed Universities of Australia and Cusat in the field of learning and research including teacher, student exchange programmes is the key focus”, said Alister Coe during the discussion. The visiting Australian team expressed special interest in the courses conducted by departments of Cusat such as Ship Technology, Marine Engineering, Marine Sciences, Engineering.
