BJP Calls for Hartal Over Activist’s Murder in Kannur

The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for hartal on Thursday, October 13, in the State over its activist’s murder in Kannur.
Kerala BJP spokesperson M S Kumar slammed the CPM government in the state and said Chihartalef Minister Pinarayi Vijayan acts as if he’s a ‘gunda’ leader. The BJP called for ‘hartal’ after a worker of the party was killed allegedly by CPM goons. The BJP has called for hartal in Kerala tomorrow from 6 am to 6 pm.
Two days after a CPM worker was killed, a BJP activist on Wednesday was hacked to death in broad daylight at a petrol pump near Pinarayi in Kannur district in Kerala. The murder of BJP activist triggered a big political controversy in Kerala between the saffron party and the ruling CPM. The victim was attacked by a group of people came on an omi van around 11 a.m. and suffered severe injuries on his head and neck. The victim was identified as Remith.
Remith’s father was also murdered some years ago. Earlier, in a similar manner a 52-year-old worker of ruling CPM was hacked to death in Kannur. Both of these murders took place in the assembly constituency of Dharmadom represented by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Meanwhile, both CP(M and the BJP are now blam
ing each other for the death of their respective party workers. Police have deployed personnel in large numbers as the district remained tense in the wake of the political murders.
