Bulu Godinho, Suresh Kadam Through to the Next Round of the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias Open 2017

It was an eventful and exciting day two at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias Open 2017. In the veterans singles category Bulu Godinho won in straight sets Sandeep V (4-0,4-0). Bulu showcased a master class performance to take the first set 4-0. In the second set Bulu continued to dominate the proceedings with some fine first serve games. Bulu closed out the second set as well with a 4-0 win to win the game in straight sets. In the other game oBulu Godinho in action during his game against Sandeep in the Veteran singles category at the on going Clube Tennis Gasper Dias Open 2017f the veteran’s category, Suresh Kadam carved out a win against Claudius (4-2, 4-2). Both men proceed to the next round of the Veterens Mens Single category.
In the Mixed Doubles category Mano Chabra and Nitsa Murthy got the better of Benjamin Craven and Amani Desai (4-1, 4-0) in straight sets. Mano Chabra and Nitsa Murthy combined well to get the victory and move into the next round. In the Ladies Singles category, Nitsa Murthy defeated Poojal Naik (4-1, 4-2) to progress to the next round while Jaya Bhatia won in straight sets to defeat Shayana Mirashi (4-1, 4-2) in the Under 12 Girls category.
Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias Open 2017 commenced yesterday with a total of 133 entries coming in across 10 categories. The tournament is being organized by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias,Goa’s first tennis club in partnership with Goa State Tennis Association (GSTA) and Gadre Premium Seafood.
Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias Open 2017 will be an annual fixture on the state’s tennis calendar. Spread over eight days, matches are scheduled between 7am and 10am in t
he morning and between 4pm and 10pm in the evening. The finals will be held on the 29th of January 2017.
The tournament matches are open to spectators and tennis fans. The organizers have created an exciting atmosphere for spectators and audiences with music and snack stalls on the sidelines of the tennis courts.
