  • CAD & 3D Printing Course at CUSAT

    KOCHI:
    CUSAT School of Engineering starts a short term course from 22 nd August in the ‘Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D Printing’ which opens window of endless career openings.

    Being able to quickly deliver on-demand products of varying sizes, colours, shapes and materials, there is ever growing demand for personnel with sound knowledge of CAD/CAM and 3D printing in the design and manufacturing industries besides construction field. Industries and Institutions are fast adopting 3D printing. In recent times, engineers and designers with 3D printing knowledge are in great demand.

    The application of 3D printing spreads over architectural and construction industry, footwear, toys, healthcare and medical animation and entertainment, consumer goods, consumer electronics, aerospace and automobiles, medical equipments, maritime industry, food industry, education, drones, textiles and fashion, hobbies and homes etc. Course highlights are: CUSAT certificate, experienced faculty, video notes and course material, systematic approach, placement assistance and guidance, latest softwares, computers with high speed internet, flexible timings, sophisticated equipments etc. Comparatively low fee structure and two 3D printers provided for giving hands-on experience for the students are the unique features of CUSAT’s course.

    Candidates having ITI/Diploma/B.Tech/M.Tech in Engineering and ongoing students can apply for the course. The course is of three months duration, three hours per day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in three different timings (10 am to 1pm, 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm). Application forms can be downloaded from the website http://www.cusat.ac.in. The course fee is Rs. 11800/- and for CUSAT students Rs.9440/-.
