CUSAT and CIAL Join Hands for ‘Hrudayapoorvam CIAL’

Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) is all set to excite and engage its passengers with new age technology of Gamification with the support of gamification expert Dr. Manu Melwin Joy, Assistant Professor, School of Management Studies (SMS), CUSAT.

The project ‘Hrudayapoorvam CIAL’ will focus on commuter engagement as a part of celebrating the World Heart Day on 29 th September, 2021.
S. Suhas, Managing Director, CIAL inaugurated the programme and released the Mascot of the Project “CIAL Sweetheart”. Dr. Jagathy Raj V.P., Director, SMS, CUSAT, Dr. Manu Melwin Joy, Chandrakumaran Nair, Airport Director & Executive Director (Operations), Shabeer A.M. Executive Director (Engg. Services), Saji K. George, Executive Director & Company secretary, Saji Daniel, General Manager & Chief Financial Officer, Jayarajan V, HR Head, Joseph Peter Painunkal, General Manager, Commercial Department, Dinesh Kumar C General Manager, Operations, Jayan P.S., Senior Manager & Public Relations Officer, Ambili Vijayaraghavan, Chief Operating Officer, Aster Medcity were present in the function.

The games will be focusing on the three pillars of the world heart day celebrations– Community, Equity and Prevention and will teach basic first-aid principles when a person is suffering from heart attack. Rs 100 will be donated to the heart surgery of a child that need financial assistance in the
name of the winners.

On the day of World Heart Day, 29th September 2021, an exclusive The Basic Life Support (BLS) drill will be carried by a dedicated team for health professionals from Aster Medcity for the public to educate them about how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills. Apart from that, Aster
Medcity will be give training to the staff of CIAL on Basic Life Support (BLS) skills which is very important for airport employees in ensuring passenger wellness. This program is spearheaded by School of Management Studies as a part of its CSR Initiatives, sponsored by Aster Medcity from 24 th September to 30 th September in front of the Departure section of International Terminal.
