    Ranking for Teacher Education Institutions
    ‘The quality of teachers is an important indicator of learning outcome’ said Dr. A. Santhosh Mathew, Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education in a press conference held at Cusat. He was leading an Open House Session on ‘National Consultation on NCTE’s Reform Plan’ for south Indian Teacher Educators. Which envisages a ranking and accreditation framework for Teacher Education Institutions in India. Thus providing an holistic assessment of TEIs.Beyond the physical assets and rudimentary academic assets in the original framework, it gives maximum waitage to teaching and learning quality and learning outcomes. Thus a four pillar framework is drafted and consulted among the institutes and sought opinions of Principals, teachers and students of Teacher Education Institutions from Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telungana, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry. Sanjay Awasthi IRS, Member Secretary, NCTE and Senior Officers, NCTE led the session.

    Cusat: Seats Vacant at IPR Studies
    Five seats in general category and one seat each in SC and ST are vacant for one year LLM (IPR) programme 2017 conducted by the Inter University Centre for IPR Studies, Cusat.
