George Onkoor, Writer presented the award at Ariesplex, Thiruvananthapuram. The award consists of a cash prize of Rs. 10000 / – , citation and a plaque. Rani, writes stories under the pen name Saira. Rani Narayanan is the daughter of Narayanan and Lakshmi, Panikkathu House in Thrissur District.
