A five-day DST-sponsored workshop on ‘Data Science Research Lab, Big Data Ideas, Tools and Technologies’ organized by the Department of Computer Applications, Cochin University of Science and Technology was inaugurated by Dr. K. N. Madhusoodanan, Vice-Chancellor, CUSAT.
Dr. Sabu M K, HOD, Dept. Of Computer Applications presided and Dr. Sasi Gopalan, Syndicate member and HOD, Mathematics, CUSAT, Dr. M V Judy, and Dr. Vinod P spoke. Professionals, teachers and research students in diverse area related to Big Data will participate.The workshop will discuss the importance of Big Data Analyst in changing technology and its potential and importance and provide practical training on modern concepts and tools in Big Data Technology. Experts from the University of Bordeaux, IIT, IIIT and TCS in France will handle various classes.
