Department of Marine Biology, School of Marine Sciences, Cusat will organize Scholar-in- Residence Programme under Erudite Scheme of Higher Education Council, Government of Kerala from 26th March.
Justice (Retd.) C. N. Ramachandran Nair will inaugurate the programme at 10.00 am on 26 th March at CIFNET Auditorium, Fine Arts Avenue. CUSAT Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha will preside over. Dr. Lisa A. Levin, Director and Oliver Chair, Centre for Marine Biology and Conservation, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, USA will deliver the erudite lecture. Challenges of the 21 st Century, Ocean de oxygenation, Methane Seep Ecology and Ocean roles, Effects of natural and human induced hypoxia on coastal benthos, Oxygen minimum zones and fishery implications are the topics which will be discussed during the five day programme.
