Falcon Institute of Logistics to Facilitate Scholarship and Job Along with Study

Kerala’s largest logistics company, Falcon Infrastructures Limited is launching a new venture with the intention of molding a group of young people skilled in logistics. Before the Vallarpadam project, Falcon Institute of Logistics was the first to start logistics courses in Kerala in 2007. Later, when courses like BBA and MBA were started in logistics, these courses were changed from Falcon to Vidya Bharati. But Falcon is now relaunching this project to fill the current shortage of skilled logistics professionals. It is designed to provide internship and placement at Falcon itself.

Logistics and SCM is the most promising career in modern times. Diploma and PG Diploma courses are started at Falcon in Elur, Ernakulam. Courses approved by national and international agencies (FIATA,STED, FICS-UK) are starting from this year. The course is designed for fixed duration with national and international recognized certification and internship at diploma levels. The duration of the courses is 12 months for Diploma and 18 months for PG Diploma.

30 deserving children are provided with free tuition, accommodation and food through this scheme which provides internship and training in Falcon itself. This scholarship scheme is only for those who are economically backward. Eligible children should submit certificates showing financial income along with the application. Income certificate attested by village officer should be submitted along with ration card. Other children can enroll in these courses with internship facility by paying fixed fee.

The new course is being launched at Falcon in collaboration with the Vidya Bharati Group of Institutes. Those who successfully complete the courses are also offered placement in Falcon and other companies. At the press meet held at the Ernakulam Grant Hotel, Falcon M D. N. A.
