The Government of Goa has nominated 4 government departments and agencies to facilitate the shift towards a cashless working environment. GSIDC is one such department that has been nominated along with the Public Works Department, Water Resources and the Electricity Department.
To that end, a workshop was conducted by GSIDC, in association with HDFC Bank and SBI, at the GSIDC office at Patto Plaza earlier today to raise awareness on the various modules and methods available to move towards electronic transactions.
The workshop was held to sensitise GSIDC staff, work contractors and consultants associated with GSIDC towards making every day domestic and commercial transactions that are cashless. The workshop coveredtopics of transacting online and via mobile phones through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) application, security measures and the implementation processes. The workshop aims to encourage consultants and contractors to shift over to electronic payments to sub-contractors and labourers using more convenient modes of electronic transfers.
