Chennai: Madras HC has, in an interim order, banned 169 service providers including 225 internet websites from releasing the Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Kabali’ film.
The film’s official release is on July 22.
This has dealt a mega blow to online pirates who make new releases of films available for downloading at just Rs 10-Rs 20.
The petition filed by Tamil Film Producer Council before Madras High Court had sought for a direction to authorities to stop all websites from unlawfully uploading Kabali movie.
