KOCHI:
Reiterating its commitment towards promoting good health and hygiene in the society, Brilloca Ltd, makers of India’s iconic bathware brand, Hindware, has launched the second phase of its ongoing campaign – ‘Safety in your Hands’- in Southern India.
Having catered to over 1 lakh people in the first phase through the installation of eight contactless handwash booths in the Delhi NCR region, the company has now launched the campaign in Kerala.
Hindware contactless handwash booths are installed at six high footfall locations in Kerala, including Kakkanad and Vytilla Hub in Kochi; Ulloor and Thampanur in Kozhikode and Eranhippalam and Arayidathupalam in Thiruvananthapuram. Additionally, four such installations went live in Bengaluru last week. Through this unique initiative, the company aims to continue propagating the message and importance of maintaining proper sanitation and personal hygiene.
In keeping with the brand’s legacy of driving innovation as per the evolving needs of the community, the sensor-based handwashing system addresses one of the key priorities of the nation, i.e., building access to safe hand-washing facilities at public places.
Aimed at amplifying the message to bring a behavioral change, Brilloca has introduced a series of thoughtful initiatives, both on-ground and through its social media platforms (@Hindware_Homes on YouTube, twitter, Facebook and Instagram). These include safety-oriented videos and posts, instructions on using the contactless handwashing booths and interaction with users at the stations.
Commenting on the occasion, Sanjay Kalra, CEO, Bath Products & Tiles, Brilloca Limited, said, “We are extremely happy with the response our ‘Safety in your hands’ campaign garnered in the first phase of its launch in Delhi-NCR where over 1 lakh hand washes took place. We have commended phase two of the campaign to drive behavioral change and encourage safe and hygienic practices. As the country unlocks, we need to consciously practice washing hands at regular intervals, especially when accessing public places. We hope that these booths installed at high footfall locations help to bring about the change which has become imperative for the new normal”
Crafted after a thorough study at Hindware Design Studio, the contactless hand wash system is fitted with a sensor-operated faucet, basin and foot operated soap dispenser with a digital sensor, which keeps count of hand-washes of a particular station.
Charu Malhotra Bhatia, Vice President – Marketing, Brilloca Limited, added, “It is imperative that brands, with their expertise and knowledge, bring solutions that commit towards the larger priority of the nation. Through this initiative, we aim to do our bit by building a seamless connect of our products and offerings with the societal cause. With a six-decade old legacy, we consciously take the responsibility of contributing to drive behavioral change in the new normal as a responsible corporate citizen”.
