THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
H&R Block, the leading Technopark-based company in collaboration with Ahalaya Eye Care organized a free cataract surgery camp for the second time this year. The eye camp held at the Government Higher Secondary School, Thirparappu witnessed an overwhelming response from the community. Surgery has already been initiated for the selected 22 people and 142 deserving participants of the camp were presented with spectacles.
Ajeesh Arjunan, Associate Manager, H&R Block said that everyone deserves access to quality eye care irrespective of their financial situation and that, such efforts are being made by H&R Block to ensure that necessary services reach the deserving beneficiaries. He added that through this initiative, 50 free cataract surgeries will be provided every year for the ones in need and that the aim is to provide free cataract surgeries to economically disadvantaged persons.
