Hyatt Regency Trivandrum Announces Two Key Elevations

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Hyatt Regency Trivandrum announces the elevation of Alkhamar Abdukunju as their new F&B Director and Karthik Gunasekaran as the new Executive Sous Chef of the hotel. Previously Alkhamar was the F&B Manager of the hotel while Karthik was the Chef De Cuisine.

Associated with the Hyatt brand since 2017, Alkhamar is a seasoned professional who has also worked with other hotel brands such as Marriott and Movenpick. He has also lent much of his sought-after expertise to the hotel regarding the sustainable practices employed in F&B activities, the use of tech in restaurants, and so much more. In his new role, Alkhamar Abdukunju says, “I am excited about this new responsibility and the challenges that come with it. I hope to put my best foot forward and make this a stepping stone to my success.”

A master of various cuisines, Chef Karthik started his journey with the Ambika Empire. From 2012 onwards, he has been a part of the ever-growing Hyatt family starting off with Grand Hyatt Dubai. An expert at curating Mediterranean cuisine, Karthik Gunasekaran says, “I am elated to take on this new role and impart knowledge to my juniors. I am looking forward to creating new dishes and embarking on a unique culinary journey.”
