IBM Seminar Explores the Evolution from Generative AI to Agentic AI

A high-level session organised by IBM at Infopark highlighted the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, focusing on Generative AI and Agentic AI. The event featured a keynote address by Vishal Chahal, Vice President of IBM India Software Lab, and was attended by representatives from over forty leading companies.

Vishal Chahal elaborated on the rapid transition from Generative AI, which primarily creates content, to more advanced “Agentic AI” systems capable of making autonomous decisions and completing complex tasks. He also spoke about the significant transformations this technology is expected to bring to both the business landscape and everyday life in the future. The session further discussed IBM’s global research initiatives and the potential role of the state’s IT ecosystem in these developments.

The event saw participation from tech leaders and engineers representing major IT companies from Infopark, Technopark, SmartCity, and other hubs. Discussions also focused on the practical implementation of AI technologies for both startups and large enterprises.
