THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS), A Kerala Government organization, mandated to propagate, promote and develop capacity in free and open source software, has announced its Women Winter School programme from January 6 to 18, aiming to encourage women to take up advanced studies and research in this crucial technology domain.
The focus of the programme will be Unstructured Data Analytics and Natural Language Processing (NLP), which are of national significance in promoting research activities in free and open software.
Creating awareness about the importance of free software in research domain and gender equity in advanced technology education will also be part of the programme, which targets post-graduate students, researchers, teachers and professionals. In all, 30 candidates will be selected for the programme.
