THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS), an autonomous institution under the Kerala Government, is organizing “Summer School 2019” on Internet of Things (IoT) from May 21 to 31, 2019 at Sports Hub, Karyavattom here.
The programme is a part of the efforts by ICFOSS in improving awareness on free software and gender equality in technology sector and it features sessions on various verticals of IoT. The school aims to improve technical capability and understanding of free software.
The topic mainly detailed about the usage and implementation of cutting edge technology LoRaWAN computer network, which has low energy consumption and brought about revolutionary changes in communication sector, along with functional description of various projects, has also been included in the programme.
Eminent speakers from academia as well as industry will deliver talks and interact with the participants. The event will provide an opportunity for the participants to acquire individual attention of mentors and develop network among themselves. The school shall focus on providing hands-on experience to boost the capability and potential of the participants.
The targeted audience of the school are professionals, teachers, and post-graduation students. A maximum of 30 seats are available for the school, of which half of the seats are reserved for women for encouraging their access and visibility in the domain.
