

THRISSUR:
The Infopark Thrissur Techies Club (ITTC) successfully organized a four-day badminton tournament for its employees at the Golo Gol Sports Hub, Koratty, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 70 teams representing various IT companies within the park.
The tournament featured three distinct categories: Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. In the Men’s Doubles category, Vishnu Das and Akhil from Strands Energy emerged as winners, while Amal Thomas and Amal from GR8 Global secured the runner-up position. The Women’s Doubles title was won by Dhenuka and Sneha of QBurst, while Saranya and Aziya from RDS were runners-up.
In the Mixed Doubles category, Nitheesh and Dhenuka of QBurst clinched the top spot, with Akhil and Nayana of Strands Energy finishing as runners-up. All winners and runners-up were presented trophies and cash prizes for their outstanding performances.
The organizers emphasized that such sporting events are hosted with the primary objectives of promoting physical fitness, alleviating work-related stress, and fostering camaraderie among the tech community. The spirited competition highlighted the talent and sportsmanship prevalent among the IT professionals in the region.
The tournament was coordinated under the leadership of ITTC President Josanto Thomas, Secretary Suraj R.A, and Treasurer Jomy Johnson, along with organizing committee members Vishnu Das, Akhil, Abhijith M and Nixon.
The ITTC office-bearers announced that they intend to organize a wider variety of recreational and sporting activities for the employees in the near future.
