International Conference on Plant Biotechnology Inaugurated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
A four-day International conference on Micro and metabolic regulators in plants jointly organised by Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) and European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) started hconfereere today.
The conference was inaugurated by RGCB Director Prof. M.Radhakrishna Pillai. Dr. Alen Goossens delivered the keynote lecture on ‘Engineering Plant Specialised Metabolism’. Internationally acclaimed scientists participated in the sessions on RNA World and Non-coding RNAs which followed the inaugural programme.

This conference will provide a unique platform to familiarise and discuss cutting-edge scientific and technological in plant biology, such as transcriptomics, metabolomics and crop improvement. The event will include invited lectures from national and international scientists. Scientists from over 40 countries are attending the conference.
