  • Invest Kerala Run-up: CII to hold Ascent Summit

    KOCHI:
    Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has planned a meet on “Anchoring Growth from Kerala” here this week end, with the support of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), as a run up to the Invest Kerala Global Summit scheduled on February 21 and 22 in the city.

    Styled ‘Ascent Summit’, the evening event at Hotel Monsoon Empress on February 1 will feature two sessions before concluding with Industries Minister P. Rajeeve’saddress as the Chief Guest.

    Starting at 5.30 p.m., the conclave will open with a session on success stories, followed by a panel discussion. Chairing the concluding hour-long question-answer segment will be Principal Secretary (Industries and Commerce) A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish.

    Six entrepreneurs will recall their career growth at the opening session themed‘Journeys of Resilience, Creativity & Determination’. This will be followed by a roundtable, moderated by KSIDC Chairman Balagopal Chandrasekhar on ‘Nurtured in Kerala, Paving the Way for Global Legacy’ by half-a-dozen experts.

    The speakers sharing their success stories will be Hykon India CMD Christo George; Navalt Solar & Electric Boats Director Sandith Arumughan Thandasherry; Popees Baby Care Products founder-MD Shaju Thomas; Aceware Fintech Services MD Nimisha J Vadakkan; Solve Plastic Products MD Sudheer Kumar and Tranzmeo Founder-CEO Safil Sunny.

    The panel discussion, starting at 6.45 p.m., will be addressed by SFO Technologies (NEST Group) CMD N Jehangir, CII (Southern Region) Past Chairman Navas Meeran (Eastern Treads Ltd), Synthite Industries MD Aju Jacob, VKC Footgear CMD V K C Razak, Peekay Steel Castings Joint MD K E Shanavas and Vittal Cashew Industries MD Santhosh Kamath.

    CII Kerala Chairman Vinod Manjila (Manjilas Food Tech) will welcome the gathering, while Federal Bank Executive Director & Business Head (Retail) Shalini Warrier will deliver the concluding remarks.
