NEW DELHI:
In a move that would further boost its hugely popular e-catering facility, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a scheme that provides 50 per cent cash back offer on pre-paid orders having a minimum value of Rs. 300.
The facility has become available on IRCTC’s e-catering website. The cash back offer is valid only for meals booked through IRCTC and having a value of more than Rs 300 in a single order.
The scheme is valid only for meals booked in a pre-paid mode.
Food must be ordered through IRCTC’s e-catering website www.ecatering.irctc.co.in or “Food on Track” mobile app. All other sites, apps or phone numbers belonging to any vendor or company are unauthorized for this purpose.
The cash back would be processed after the delivery date and the payment would be credited to the same account through which the order was made for the meal booking. The customer would be intimated once the cash back is processed by IRCTC.
Dr A K Manocha, CMD, IRCTC, said such a move would give a major fillip to e-catering operations of the Railways’ PSU. “IRCTC’s e-catering facility, which has broad-based the culinary choices in a significant manner, is now turning out to be a big hit with rail passengers. The 50 per cent cash back offer will further induce passengers to patronise our e-catering facility.”
Such an offer would also create awareness about e-catering and make the IRCTC’s e-catering website popular, Dr Manocha noted. Any queries regarding the cash back facility may be sent to customercare.ecatering@irctc.com or call at the toll-free number 1323.
