Jain Center for Global Studies Launches International Graduate Programs

KOCHI:
Jain Center for Global Studies under the Jain Group of Institutions, one of the leaders in the education sector has launched various International Graduate Programs. The inauguration of the programs, offered in association with the UK-based International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC) and Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), was held at the Knowledge Park campus of the Jain Center for Global Studies in Kochi. Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Chairman, Jain Group of Institutions; Tom M. Joseph, Director for New Initiatives, Jain (Deemed-to-be) University; Dr. J. Letha, Pro Vice Chancellor; K. Madhukumar, Joint Controller of Examination and Teresa Jacobs, Executive Director, ISDC, were present on the occasion.

Launched with the goal of making international education affordable and accessible to everyone, the International Graduate Programs will offer students of the Jain Center for Global Studies a chance to study third year of their graduation at top universities in the UK and other countries. Addressing a media conference in connection with the launch, authorities of the Jain Center for Global Studies said that students will be admitted through lateral entry for the B.Com and BBA courses offered by the Jain (Deemed-to-be) University as well.

Designed for students who are preparing for higher education after Plus Two, the programs will open up the door to global opportunities for them. The International Graduate Programs provide students a great opportunity to study, graduate and settle in the UK.

For most of the students, overseas education remains just a dream because of the high cost involved. “The highlight of the programs is that the students can complete their graduation by studying only the third year at the selected university campus abroad after studying the first two years at the Jain Center for Global Studies campus. It would help students to save a good amount in fees,” said Dr. Chenraj Roychand. He added that after one year’s study in the UK, the post-study work visa will allow them to continue there for two more years, find a job and get PR.

Tom Joseph said that through initiatives such as the International Graduate Programs, Jain Center for Global Studies has been revolutionizing the global education system. He added that the students will get an opportunity to become part of the global academia by graduating in industry-centric degrees from top international universities.

Jain Group of Institutions, which runs more than 80 institutions including Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, has been in the education sector for the past 30 years. Jain (Deemed-to-be) University is one of the leading educational institutions in the country with NAAC A++ accreditation and UGC’s Category 1 graded autonomy.
