KOCHI:
Japanese Ambassador to India Kenji Hiramatsu accompanied by wife will visit Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) on December 12.
The Ambassador will have discussion with Vice Chancellor Dr. Sasidharan at 9.30 am, followed by an interaction with the deans of faculty at the syndicate hall. Registrar Dr.S. David Peter, Syndicate member and IRAA Director Dr. K.K. Saju will participate. At present CUSAT is having active collaboration with Nigatha, Shimane and Yamagata, Japanese Universities and with Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, Tokyo (Class N K) in various academic and Research areas including exchange of students and faculty.
The visit of Japanese Ambassador just before the inauguration on 17th of a Japanese language study centre in the University is viewed as an important landmark in the path of Academic Corporation.
