Jimikki Kammal Performance by Students and Teachers of ISC Kochi to Become Global

After the huge response for the Jimikki Kammal dance video performance by the students and teachers of Indian School of Commerce, in Kochi Infopark, leading mass media group News Corporation in US entered into a pact to spread the dance performance in social media across the world.
An agreement has been reached between the U K based International Skill Development Corporation Limited (ISDC), who promote and manage Indian School of Commerce, and News Corporation. The entire income out of this agreement is earmarked for charity and for extending help to the neglected segments of the society.
The dance performance which was uploaded in social media had gone viral with a viwership of more than 1.30 crore in more than 200 countries. The dance by the college students and led by faculties Anna George and Sheril G Kadavath to the tune of a song in Malayalam film ‘Velipadinte Pusthakam’ has won admiration by several eminent personalities including the well-known American TV show host Jimmy Kimmel.
ISDC director’s Venugopal V Menon and T N Prasad said that the U K based ISDC decided to turn this entertainment show piece in social media into a cause for charity and CSR initiatives of the organization. News Corporation will promote the trendy dance performance video through their mass entertainment subsidiary ‘Storyful” in leading on-line platforms and Television Channels across the world. News Corp., is the world’s fourth largest media group in terms of revenue.
Agreement between ISDC and News Corp. will facilitate large brands of media companies around the world to use the video content of the Jimikki Kammal dance performance of the College team to expose it directly in news frames and
entertainment shows in TV Channels like Buzz-Feed, Mashable, MSN, AOL, Ellen, The Tonight Show, MTV, The New York Times, NY Post, Sky News, Euronews which are popular in America, European and Asian continents. This will increase the viewers of the video manifold and resultantly generate income to ISDC for their charity and CSR
activities through an NGO to be identified in due course.
Nirmal Infopark MD Stephen Puthumana said that the agreement with a globally leading media establishment for right of use of the video contents are first in history in our country. This infuse courage in them to explore more opportunities to make resources for our charity and CSR activities in future, theyn siad.
Brand Promotion manager Mithun Mangaly said that several offers are now being received from within the country and abroad to perform for various organisations.
