Leading hotelier Jose Pradeep, who is managing partner of Hotel Yuvarani Residency, was elected the President of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society today, while Dravidian Trails Holidays Managing Director S. Swaminathan became the Secretary of the tourism apex forum of the state.
Hari kumar C. was elected the Vice President. Spice Routes Luxury Cruises Director Jobin Joseph is the new Joint Secretary, while Abad Group of Hotels Director Jibran Asif was elected the Treasurer.
The 2000-constituted KTM Society is the country’s biggest organisation in the travel and tourism segment, renowned as organisers of the biennial Kerala Travel Mart. The event, which is of focal importance to travel and tourism in south India, is noted for its high participation of delegates and industry leaders from across the globe.
The latest KTM, which was held in the city earlier this summer, featured 55,000 business interactions attended by delegates from 69 countries. The three-day event at Bolgatty Island in May saw the participation of 1,134 buyers (234 of them international) and 325 seller stalls.
