Karunya Hrudayalaya Starts Functioning at Kadavanthra Indira Gandhi Co-operative Hospital

Kadavanthra Indira Gandhi Co-operative Hospital joins hands with Karunya Hrudayalaya. The MoU was signed between Hospital Secretary Ajay Tharayil and Karunya Hrudayalaya Operations Manager P Balu at a function held at IMA House, Kochi.

The aim is to modernize the Save Heart project started by Dr. A.K. Abraham at the Indira Gandhi Co-operative Hospital years back said Ajay Tharayil . Dr. Nigel Cletus, an interventional cardiologist, said that under the leadership of Karunya Hrudayalaya , state-of-the-art cath lab facilities, as well as facilities for performing angiograms and angioplasty, will be set up here. Dr. Nigel said that the Indira Gandhi Hospital will become the cheapest cardiology center in the district.

Apart from Tirur Nursing Home and Kozhikode Chest Hospital, this is the third center to make cardiology accessible to the general public. P. Balu said that even those who do not have the benefits of government schemes can get specialist treatment here at affordable rates. Holders of health insurance cards such as KASP / AB ,PMJAY should contact the hospital to avail the benefits of the scheme, he said.
