

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
As part of the National Milk Day celebrations, Minister for Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development J Chinchurani will inaugurate the free distribution of Milma products to the children of Child Care Centres in the four districts under the purview of Thiruvananthapuram Co-operative Milk Producers Union (TRCMPU) at Govt. Children’s Home for Boys, Poojapura here on November 26.
TRCMPU Administrative Committee Convenor N Bhasurangan will flag off the Milma products delivery vehicle at the function to be held at 12 noon. TRCMPU Administrative Committee Members VS Padma Kumar and KR Mohanan Pillai will also be present on the occasion.
Around 230 children of nine institutions under the Social Justice Department will get Milma peda, mango juice, Milma chocolate and flavoured milk as National Milk Day gift.
Besides, Milma products can be bought at discounted rates on November 26 and 27 through the directly-run stalls of TRCMPU in the four districts in view of the celebrations.
The discount will be available at the Milma stalls at Pattom; Nanthancode; Kowdiar; Sasthamangalam; Statue; Thycaud; Poojappura; South Fort; Ambalathara; Veli; KSRTC Bus Station East Fort; Marketing Hub, Kandala; Kollam Dairy; Pathanamthitta Dairy; and Marketing Cell, Alappuzha, said TRCMPU Managing Director DS Konda.
