KOCHI:
Police Commissionerate Kochi in collaboration with ‘Fresh to Home’ has provided kits to every single household in ward no 15, 16 and 17 of Chellanam Panchayat.
1375 families reside in these wards. Every kit contains 22 essential items of daily use and weighs 11 kg approximately. Chellanam Panchayath was converted into a containment zone on 08.07.2020. Since then with its novel initiative ‘Amrutham’, Police has ensured that the supply chain of essential items and medicines to the area is maintained. Amrutham-home delivery service of Police Commissionerate Kochi- has been at the forefront of meeting essential requirements of the locked-down people.
In order to get assistance, a resident of containment zone has to simply send an audio, video or text message to ‘Amrutham’s WhatsApp number. Within few hours, the essential items and medicines are delivered by the police to the doorsteps of the locked-in people.
