KOZHIKODE:
Kerala Technology Expo (KTX Global 2026), one of the largest technology conferences in Kerala, will be held from May 28 to 30 at the Calicut Trade Centre. The three-day mega event aims to showcase Kozhikode as a strong example of how tier-two cities are emerging as hubs for next-generation innovation and investment in the country.
The organisers of the Expo told mediapersons here that the State IT and Electronics Department is the principal partner of KTX. The participation of major government agencies functioning under the IT Department, including Kerala Startup Mission, KSITIL, and K-DISC, is expected to open new avenues for infrastructure development and fresh investment opportunities.
The expo is being organised by a consortium of nine major institutions under the leadership of the Calicut Innovation and Technology Initiative (CITI 2.0). The partners include the Malabar Chamber of Commerce, CAFIT, IIM Kozhikode, NIT Kozhikode, Government Cyberpark, UL Cyberpark, and others.
The event is expected to attract more than 8,000 visitors and around 3,500 delegates, with participation from over 500 global partners and more than 200 exhibition stalls. The initiative also aims to engage nearly one lakh youth from the state through various competitions and hackathons, they said.
The expo will focus on six key sectors that will drive future economic growth: healthcare, retail, infrastructure, logistics, tourism, and IT. Along with discussions on the potential of advanced technologies such as AI and blockchain, CITI 2.0 Chairman Ajayan K. Aanatt and Malabar Chamber President Nithyanand Kamath stated that Malabar’s strong international connectivity and lower operational costs would help attract investors.
By bringing together global technology leaders, government systems, and young entrepreneurs onto a single platform, KTX Global 2026 is expected to mark Kozhikode as a major milestone on Kerala’s technology landscape, they added.
The others who attended the press conference include Rifath Rahman, General Secretary CITI2.0, Arun Kumar K, Treasurer, Akthar Parvez, Vice Chairman, and Raveendran Kasthuri, Chief Executive Officer, Skillbalers Technologies.
