KOCHI: Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), in partnership with Institute of Advanced Virology (IAV), has launched the national-level Virology Innovation Cohort, a six-month innovation programme aimed at supporting startups and innovators developing solutions in virology and emerging infections and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
The programme combines scientific mentorship, product development support, sector- specific incubation facilities, and startup ecosystem exposure, while also opening opportunities to adopt validated technologies developed by IAV through technology transfer for venture creation.
The cohort will focus on translating promising ideas into market-ready products across diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccine & immunology platforms, genomics and bioinformatic innovations, viral technologies and phage-based interventions against AMR.
