KSUM and Wadhwani Foundation to Host Aug 25 Event to Help Small Businesses

Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in association with Wadhwani Foundation is organising on Tuesday a transformation event for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), aiming to help small businesses overcome the difficulties owing to Covid-19 in the past five months.

The 90-minute ‘Sahayata Business Stability Program’ will provide simple do-it-yourself solution kits and free consultations to support SMEs with survival, stability and growth. The aim is to help save or create up to 100,000 jobs in the country, organisers said. Register at http://bit.ly/SahayataProgram

Scheduled to begin at 2.30 pm on August 25, the virtual function will specifically assign Industry mentors and consultants to work one-on-one with the select SMEs. The objective is to support promising SMEs in the growth stage and enable them to reach the next league. Anyone who has the willingness to adopt new ways of doing business and has a desire to emerge stronger and smarter from this pandemic can attend this programme.

The function will start with a 20-minute briefing by Wadhwani Advantage (South) Head Rahul Savoor on the Sahayata Advantage Program.

This will be followed by a 40-minute discussion on Working capital, Talent management and Quick revenue generation- with introduction to Sahayata solution kits. The speakers are Sekhar Doraswamy (Co-founder Strategy Garage), Veena Kumar (Co-founder, CEO KONEKTUP) and Ramesh Jayaraman (Partner, CFO Bridge Services) with Savoor as the moderator. A 15-minute question-answer session will follow.

The 2006-founded KSUM is the Kerala government’s central agency for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state. The 20-year-old Wadhwani Foundation works to accelerate economic development in partnership with like-minded individuals, organisations, corporations, and governments.
