KSUM’s June 24 Health Tech Summit to Discuss Opportunities and Trends

KOCHI:
Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), along with the state’s Health Department and Caritas Hospital, is organising this month a conclave to discuss the latest trends and innovations in health technology, giving a common platform to a whole range of stakeholders in the sector.

Announcing the state’s first Health Tech Accelerator will be the highlight of the pioneering Health Tech Summit 2022 on June 24, slated to be inaugurated by Health Minister Veena George.The event is being hosted in association with IT Kerala, State Family Welfare Department, eHealth Kerala and TIMed,with the aim of capitalising the prospects of Kerala’s status as a frontrunner in wellness.

The conclave, at Le Meridian in the city, will see its opening session being addressed by Health and Family Welfare Department Principal Secretary Rajan N. Khobragade, State Digital Health Mission Director K. Mohammed Y. Safarulla and KSUM Chief Executive Officer John M. Thomas.

The summit comes when health tech is the country’s fastest-growing startup sector after FinTech. The summit will give startups in health technology a chance to display their services and products besides explore their marketing possibilities.

As many as 25 health experts will address the sessions on Digital Solutions Landscape for Hospitals, Relevance of Technology Interventions in Scaling a Healthcare Business, Healthcare Innovation in Digital Technologies, Breaking Health Data Silos for Better AI Research, Leveraging Data and Analytics in Healthcare, Epidemic — Best Models via Technology, Revolutions in Healthcare Skills, Investment Landscape in Healthtech, Overview of Medical Devices and Innovation Healthcare Startups.

KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
