Laxmikant Parsekar Inaugurates the New College Building

Tourism Development Corporation and MLA of Curchorem constituency, Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar, MLA of Quepem constituency and others.picture
Under the visionary leadership of Pramod P. Sawant, GSIDC is helping lead the way in building quality infrastructure for the state of Goa. Currently, the corporation is in the process of building roads, bridges, hospitals, colleges, schools, libraries, stadiums, jetties, bus stands, cultural centres and market complexes and is involved in the holistic development of rural and urban spaces.
Adding to this list of works, GSIDC has undertaken the development of the New College Building (Phase I) of Government College, Quepem. The project includes the construction of 3 new blocks i.e. Arts, Science & Commerce wings, including the administration section.The building is designed as per standard building codes. The main college building is a three storied building which holds classrooms, laboratories, a cafeteria, gymnasium, and other necessary provisions required by a college. The work also includes the upgradation of the existing block which spans an area of 2107.33 sq. mts, a multipurpose hall with a seating
capacity of 800 and a ground with running track spanning a length of 400 mts.
Effective Architectural Services is the consultant on the project and M. Venkata Rao Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. and T.S. Mistry are the contractors. The cost of the project is 41 crores.
