THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The 45 th General Council Meeting of the Federation of LIC Class-I Officers’Associations held at Thiruvananthapuram on 24 th – 25 th February 2020 resolved to oppose the proposed IPO of LIC in every way it can.
It demanded that LIC’s Management should refrain from its propaganda in favour of the IPO. It also demanded that the Management should start the negotiation for Wage Revision which fell due in August 2017. The other demands included transfer on request after two years and better amenities for women officers in LIC offices.
The delegates also demanded an end to the Management’s pressure to work late and on holidays in several parts of the country. The General Council elected the office bearers for the next two years. Baburao Humraskar from Mumbai and S.Rajkumar from Thiruvananthapuram was re-elected unanimously as President and General Secretary respectively.
