KOCHI:
Three day National Seminar on ‘Malayalam-Hindi drama of renaissance period will be organized by the Department of Hindi, Cusat on 6 th ,7 th and 8 th November at Hindi auditorium in the Thrikkakara campus. Dr. Devendra Raj Ankur (Former Director, School of Drama, Delhi) will inaugurate the function on 6 th November. Dr. Usha Ganguly (Director, Ragakarmini, Kolkata) will be the chief guest. Around 20 papers in Hindi and ‘Andar Yathra’, Hindi drama directed by Dr. Usha Ganguly will be presented on same day.
Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha will inaugurate the seminar on ‘Renaissance and Malyalam play’ at 10 a.m on 7 th November at Hindi auditorium. Prof. M. K. Sanu will be the chief guest. Prof. P. Balachandran (Director and Script Writer), Dr. K. Vanaja (HOD), Dr. N. Mohanan (Co-ordinator, DSA), Eldo Abraham MLA, Dr. K. N. Aneesh (Seminar Co-ordinator) will speak. Karivellur Murali, T. M Araham, Prof. Chandradasan, Dr. Gramaprakash, Dr. S. Sunil, Prof. M. Thomas Mathew, Dr. K. G. Paulose, E. P. Rajagopalan and Dr. Ramesh Varma will present papers on various topics. ‘Maranamatch’, a Malayalam drama by Little theatre, Calicut University will be presented at 2 pm on 8 th November.
