Manappuram Finance Ltd Congratulates the Graduating Class of IIMK

Manappuram Finance Ltd congratulates the graduating class of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) on the occasion of its 28th Annual Convocation, where degrees were conferred upon 1,432 students across eight programmes on Saturday.

IIMK is one of the most prestigious national institutions of higher learning, and its standing has been acknowledged by the recent QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.

Chairman and Managing Director of Manappuram Finance Ltd, V.P. Nandakumar, who is also the Chairperson of the Board of Governors, IIMK, in his address highlighted the critical role of management education in preparing leaders to navigate complexity, drive innovation, and make ethical decisions. He urged graduates to embrace lifelong learning and contribute meaningfully to India’s growth story by building institutions, creating value, and advancing inclusive and sustainable development.

The ceremony was also graced by T.V. Narendran, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Steel Limited, who underscored the importance of self-awareness, adaptability, and embracing technology—particularly artificial intelligence—as a powerful enabler in today’s rapidly evolving global environment. He emphasized that while technology transforms business, it also creates new opportunities. About 40 years ago, companies and workers’ unions opposed computerization, fearing job losses, but it ultimately generated new jobs and opportunities. The same is true of AI, which will open new avenues for growth, he added.

Director of IIM Kozhikode, Dr. Debashis Chatterjee, highlighted the role of the institute in providing world-class management education to students and its standing in the global higher education landscape.
